In the cliffs of the Luštica peninsular, standing guard over the Bay of Kotor are 3 tunnels build to house and hide submarines and small ships. Each recede into the darkness 100m, with walkways either side, leading to storage rooms and other abandoned facilities.

Built by the Yugoslav Army in the 1970s, a few entrances still contains the remains of a camouflage system – moveable steel structures that would rotate into place to disguise their appearance. Built with steel beams, shaped by fence wire mesh, filled with Styrofoam painted to resemble rocks and bushes.

Now that camouflage no longer works and Yugoslav no longer has an army, graffiti and tourism boat tours bring curious visitors to explore what little darkness and secrets remain.
